MCAS REMINDERS
*Our testing days are Wednesday and Thursday, March 20 and 21st
*Please have students to school on time...we will start testing at 8:30
*Please try to have students get a restful sleep and eat a good breakfast to prepare for the test.
*Some students are unable to eat because of nerves. Students may bring 2 snacks the days of the test.
*Finally, please check the homework for your child's class, as some of it is different this week due to testing.
Report Cards went home today. Please be sure to check your child's backpack, sign the yellow form and return the form and blue folder to school by FRIDAY!!!

Just a reminder that students need to bring their recorders to school on Tuesdays and Fridays for music class.
Other reminders:
*Students should be doing XTRA math at home at least 4 times per week.
*Items for our Arts and Crafts Basket are due back by next Friday, March 15th. If you already donated supplies, thank you so much for participating!!!
*3rd Grade MCAS days are Wednesday, March 20th and Thursday, March 21st.
Our third graders had a visit today from some high school students. The students did a great job reading some of Dr. Seuss' best stories to them. Thank you to Miss Bannon and Miss Johnson for organizing such a wonderful event.
The kids did a fabulous job with their instruments. They worked hard and it showed. They were able to share what made the vibration on the instrument and we even discussed how the pitch would change if we made some changes to any of the instruments.
REMINDER:
We would like all students to be using XTRA MATH at least 4 times per week. Although, we try very hard to get each student on our classroom computers each day, sometimes that does not happen. Therefore, we would like students to try and use the program at home as often as possible. We appreciate your support with this program!!!
It is so good to be back. I missed everyone while we were away. I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing vacation, with plenty of time to enjoy family and friends. We have so many exciting things coming up, including the study of sound in Science and a field trip to the Lowell Mills for Social Studies. I look forward to many new adventures in 2013!!!
